Bring your own device - BYOD
Moss Vale High
BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE PROGRAM
Successful students at Moss Vale High bring their own device to assist learning both in the class room and at home.
The BYOD program is running in schools across NSW, Australia and worldwide and is a component of 21st Century Learning.
It is essential that parents and students understand the following two key points to this program:
- A computer device is essential for all students at Moss Vale High.
- A computer device will not replace pens or books in any subject. Handwriting is a vital skill and computers will not be replacing this skill.
Documentation regarding this program has been sent home with students. These documents consisted of:
- A user charter that must be read by both parents/caregivers and students. (Currently being revised)
- A device recommendations checklist to ensure the device purchased is suitable as a learning tool at Moss Vale High. It is essential that all parents/caregivers read this document before making decisions regarding the type of device they may choose to purchase for their son/daughter.
